Tatum Mayfield Johnson was born and raised in the Pine Belt area. She attended Oak Grove High School. She then went on to The University of Southern Mississippi to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. After graduating she worked as a NICU nurse at Forrest General Hospital for 18 years only to return to The University of Southern Mississippi to receive her Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Tatum is married to William Johnson and has 3 beautiful children.
